SpiraTec was founded in November 2007 by two of its current Board members, Frank Heines and Andreas Schadt. The historical city of Speyer, with its famous "Kaiser- und Mariendom" - one of the largest Romanesque monument north of the Alps, was chosen as the location for our Head Office. The company name "SpiraTec" evolved from "inspiration" as well as in reference to the city of Speyer. The city was first mentioned in 150 AD under its Roman name "Noviomagus". In the 6th century the first Germanic tribes settled and the city underwent a period of radical change, during which Noviomagus/Civita Nementum became the medieval town of Spira. Whereas "Spira" indicates the strong connection of the company to the region, "Tec" refers to the highly technical orientation of the company, the services offered and also to the implementation of innovative technologies. It was also important that the company logo emphasises our specific features as a pure service provider. We are also aware that our employees and the know-how they possess are the real assets and thus the focal point of the company. Hence the essence of our logo is a two-coloured human form, which personifies the interface between inspiration (orange) and technology (silver), between idea and technical implementation. It also represents our employees whose competence unites the two professional worlds of process technology and automation technology solutions. |
