Following the announcement of the merger of SpiraTec AG with onoff AG on March 29, 2022, the SpiraTec Group now comprises a total of nine companies.
Both companies will be integrated into the Group as independent subsidiaries. The current managing directors Dr. Roberto Molinari and Stefan Büttner will remain operationally active in their positions. In addition, Andreas Scheid, manager of the Industrial Automation Solutions division of Cologne and Ingelheim, will strengthen the management as a further managing director, and Jan Holz, manager of corporate functions, will in future be responsible for the administration for Oberhausen as an authorized signatory. In Italy, Dr. Roberto Molinari will continue as Managing Director.
The interfaces between the two companies are in the areas of automation technology and IT. By merging the respective additional core areas, profitable expansions of the existing portfolio and new approaches for the future can be generated. "It is particularly important for us to develop new opportunities in the cooperation to offer our customers solutions from a single source" emphasizes Frank Heines, Member of the Board of SpiraTec AG.
While SpiraTec operates mainly in the biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, food, chemical and petrochemical industries, new industries can be developed for the future together with Industrial Solutions M & B GmbH, which has its industry focus in the steel and paper industries. The extensive experience in the industries of Industrial Solutions M & B GmbH can be successfully expanded with the support of the SpiraTec Group team to position the companies for the future.
The existing SpiraTec locations in Cologne and Dortmund can be very well complemented by the Industrial Solutions M & B headquarters in Oberhausen to achieve complete coverage of customers in the Ruhr region. "The high population density, a strong infrastructure and the location of large chemical parks make the Ruhr region a strategically exciting region and allow us to look to the common future with confidence" states Andreas Schadt, member of the SpiraTec AG Executive Board, who also sees the potential in northern Italy.
Geneva is the first opportunity to pursue business development with a location in Europe outside the D-A-CH region. Industrial Solutions & Services S.r.l. already has a broad customer portfolio in the steel and paper industries in northern Italy. With the spectrum of SpiraTec, there is new potential for expansion here, says Andreas Schadt.
